Abstract:Air permeability is an important index of LCD glass spacer paper. The contradiction among the beating degree of fibers, wet web strength and air permeability affect the preparing of LCD glass spacer paper, in order to improve the air permeability of LCD glass spacer paper without sacrificing the wet web strength, the influences of fiber type, beating degree and loading amount of debonding agent on the wet web strength and air permeability of paper were investigated. The experimental results showed that the wet web strength of LCD glass spacer paper could be effectively improved and the air permeability of paper could be ensured by improving the beating degree of the fibers and adding the debonding agent. When softwood pulp with beating degree of 33°SR and hardwood pulp with beating degree of 22°SR were mixed in the proportion ratio of 20∶80 and used as the raw material and adding 0.50% of debonding agent in papermaking, the wet web strength of LCD glass spacer paper was 0.83 kN/m and the air permeability of paper was 162.6 μm/Pa·s, which met the requirements of LCD glass spacer paper in terms of wet web strength and air permeability of paper.
