Abstract:This study explored laccase-glutamic acid system catalytic effects on unbleached eucalyptus kraft pulp (Sp), oxygen delignified eucalyptus kraft pulp (O), and H2O2 bleached eucalyptus pulp (P). The results showed that the Kappa numbers of the pulps increased and whiteness decreased with laccase catalysis. Laccase catalysis oxidation of lignin on the surfaces combining the treatment of glutamic acid, free radical coupling reaction between the lignins on the surfaces of adjacent fibers formed a network structure and created closer contact between the fibers, the paper strength was enhanced significantly. The carboxyl groups of the pulps increased 20% for (Sp), 50% for (O) and 43% for (P) after combining laccase acid and glutamic acid treatment. |
