Abstract:In order to improve the performance of mica paper, the effect of adding aramid fibers and modifing mica on the properties of the mica paper was studied. Using the method of controlling single-factor to determine the optimal process parameters such as the amount of aramid fiber and dosages of CPAM and SBR.The study results showed that when aramid fibers amount was 7% and the ratio of chopped aramid fibers and pulp fibers was 2%∶5%, the mechanical and electrical properties of the mica paper were improved; when mica flakes were modified with CPAM for 30min at the concentration of 12% and CPAM content of 1.0%, the tensile strength of the mica paper increased 315.8%. On the other hand, when styrene-butadiene latex amount was 5%, the tensile strength of the composite sheet increased 123.9% compared with that of the papers using modifed mica. Meanwhile, there was no effect on electrical properties. |
