Abstract:The liquor of desilication and lime cream were applied to synthesize calcium silicate by in-situ deposition. The calcium silicate was deposited in the cell lumen of filler and on the fibrills in order to achieve the purpose of fiber loading. When the filler loading was 30%, four factors, i.e the ratio of softwood fiber to hardwood fiber in the pulp, temperature, agitating speed and the pulp consistency on fiber loading process and paper properties were studied. The results showed that when the ratio of softwood and hardwood pulp was 1∶1, the temperature was 60℃, the agitating speed was 500 r/min and the pulp consistency was 5%, the ash content of the paper reached 30.09%, and the content of fiber loading reached 20.14%, at the same time, the retention of filler was improved without deteriorating the paper strength. |
