Abstract:Microfibrillated cellulose(MFC),as a natural matrix, can be used by in-situ chemical reaction to prepare nano zero-value Iron-microfibrillated cellulose (NZVI-MFC) composite material. The characteristies of NZVI-MFC composite materials and its heat resistance properties were investigated by infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). In order to explore the possible application of NZVI-MFC in papermaking wastewater advanced treatment, the effects of dosages of NZVI-MFC composite materials, initial pH value of the wastewater on wastewater treatment were studied. The research results indicated that NZVI dispersed on the MFC matrix uniformly, under the optimal treatment conditions, the removal rates of CODCr and chroma were 78.4% and 90.7%, respectively.
