Abstract:The composite titanium dioxide was prepared by using the inorganic nonmetallic mineral particles as the core and coating with a layer of TiO2 on its surface. In this paper, we mainly studied the properties of four kinds of the composite titanium dioxide powders with different producing processes and kernel processing and its application in decorative base paper for replacing the expensive titanium dioxide. The results showed that titanium dioxide could well deposit on to the surface of the coated tabular spar and carbon-white, and their covering powers were close to titanium dioxide in the same amount of dosage or ash content, the physical index of the paper filled with composite titanium dioxide was similar to that of pure titanium dioxide.
