Abstract:The oxidized cellulose was prepared by using hydrogen peroxide to treat the pulp, The effects of the pH value, oxidation time, dosages of hydrogen peroxide and catalyst (Fe2+) on the oxidation degradation degree of the cellulose were investigated. The results showed that under the conditions of pulp concentration 1%, pH=3, reaction time 6 h, and dosage of hydrogen peroxide 50% and without adding catalyst, aldehyde group content of the treated pulp was 0.24 mmol/g, carboxyl group was 0.20 mmol/g, and DP=969. The influence of FeSO4·7H2O on oxidation degradation degree was analyzed with fixd the conditions as mentioned above. The results showed that the DP of the pulp decreased obviously to the lowest value(611). The highest content of carboxyl group 0.29 mmol/g was achieved when the doage of FeSO4·7H2O was 0.1%. The highest content of aldehyde group 0.42 mmol/g was achieved when the doage of FeSO4·7H2O was 0.6%. |
