| Abstract:Pulp washing is a key process to realize lower energy consumption and less effluent emission and implement cleaner production in a modern pulp mill. Nowadays it becomes difficult to select the washing device as there are various products appeared in market. According to the functional features of the devices, combing the mature operational experiences of the mills, this paper discussed the possible options among twin-roll replacement press washer, drum replacement washer and drum vacuum washer or their optimum combination as the main washing device of the modern pulp mills. The concepts of washing device configuration and washing device selection were proposed. |
