Abstract:Morfi fiber quality analyzer was used to study morphological characteristics of glass microfiber wool and the effect of disintegration of the glass wool on the property of the paper made of the glass fibers. The results showed that the thermal insulation performance of the papers made of BM-3 glass microfiber wool was better. It was mainly attributed to the smaller kink and larger crimp of BM-3 glass microfiber wool which could interweave more closely after paper making and provide better thermal insulation performance. Glass wool fiber number increased, and size decreased when the glass wool was refined and with the increase of the number of refining revolution. The pore of the papers, the thickness and air permeability of the paper decreased greatly with refining revolution increases. The thermal conductivity of the papers made of BM-1 and BM-3 increased at the beginning then tended to be stable, the thermal conductivity basically unchanged as the number of refining revolution was about 15000 r. |
