Abstract:Mixed waste paper pulp was bleached by using hydrogen peroxide and with 1- hydroxy ethylidene-1, 1-diphosphonic acid(HEDP) as the chelator . The results showed that the optimum conditions of chelating stage was as follows: HEDP dosage 0.15% on OD pulp, temperature 60℃, time 45 min, the HEDP’s chelating efficiency was better than the EDTA under the conditions; The pulp whiteness reached to 76.6%ISO and the PC value decreased to 1.76%; in subsequent hydrogen peroxide bleaching when sodium silicate dosage was 3.0%, adding a certain amount of EDTA could reduce the dosage of sodium silicate without affecting the whiteness and P.C value. |
