Abstract:Water-based dispersive cross-linked cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) is a new cationic aid of retention and drainage, which has good performance under high shear and high conductivity circumstance. In the present work, a type of cross-linked CPAM emulsion with solid content of 15% was prepared, the optimum synthesis conditions were investigated, and the cross-linked CPAM was applied in imitating fine paper production as retention and drainage aid to compared with a linear polymer. The results showed that the synthetic CPAM had optimal performance when the mass fraction of comonomers was 15%, initiator, MBA and SMAS were 0.11%, 40 mg/kg and 600 mg/kg, respectively, reaction temperature was 56℃. The retention and drainage performance of cross-linked CPAM was better than that of the commercial linear CPAM emulsion under high shear and high conductivity conditions. |
