Abstract:The paper compared the structures and the functions of the components of OptiFlo headbox of Metso company and MasterJet headbox of Voith company, which are the most advanced headboxes currently. On the basis of analyzing the key points and difficulties of dilution headbox control, control system of dilution water headbox and cross-direction basis weight control system based on the PLC were propored.
