Abstract:The probe was modified with aramid fibrid membrane to measure the surface adhesion force of aramid short fibers and fibrid in water on the basis of probe modification techniques of AFM. Influence of different pH value on the surface adhesion force of aramid short fibers and fibrid was researched. It was concluded that adhesion forces between probe modified with aramide fibrid membrane and aramid short fiber and fibrid were 1.71 nN and 9.20 nN, respectively, adhesion force of fibrid was greater than that of short fiber. The interaction between the tip of probe and NH group of aramid samples related with pH value, adhesion force between aramid samples and the probe was more strongly influenced by pH value.
