| Abstract:The methods used to study the process of low and medium consistency refining by using high-speed photography technology were introduced. The discs of the refiner were made of organic glass and the complete process of refining were recorded with a high-speed and high resolution camera, with the dyed fibers as tracing fibers. According to the observation and analysis of recorded phenomenon, the movement of the pulp in different areas of the disc and the force affecting the pulp in low and medium consistency refining were found. These findings will be useful for further study of the process of low and medium consistency refining. |
