Abstract:The removal efficiency of colourity and CODCr of papermaking wastewater treated by reinforced activated carbon with Phanerochaete chrysosporium and Rhodopseudomonas were studied. The results indicated that with only 1% Phanerochaete chrysosporium, the colourity removal rate achieved 80% in 3h, and CODCr removal rate was 65.1%, with only 1% Rhodopseudomonas, the colourity removal rate was the lowest, the CODCr removal rate was 71.4%. On the other hand colourity removal rate was higher than 90% and CODCr removal rate was 80%, higher than only using one of the strains, when the combined strains were used. CODCr removal rate of the biological activated carbon technique strengthened by Rhodopseudomonas first than by Phanerochaete chrysosporium was higher than that strengthened by Phanerochaete chrysosporium at first. |
