Abstract:Using cyanuric chloride as the crosslinking monomer, a new yellowing inhibitor for high-yield pulp was synthesized by introducing the ultraviolet absorber 2,4-dihydroxy-benzophenone and free radicals capturer 4-amion-2,2,6,6-tetramentylniperidine to the same molecule of 4,4-diamino stilbene-2,2-disulfonic acid (DSD acid) through nucleophilicity reaction. Its structure and property were characterized by FT-IR, UV-vis and photoluminescence(PL) spectra, its anti-yellowing effect was evaluated by surface sizing on the handsheet of chemi-mechanical pulps and evaluated by the ultraviolet aging apparatus. The results showed that comparing with the traditional fluorescent brighteners, such as VBL, the brightening effect and light stability of the new compound are good, the brightness stabilizing effect increases significantly and paper brightness has 9.4 ISO points gain. Brightness loss of the hand-sheets treated by the new compound is 10.2 ISO points and 5.0 ISO points less than that of the blank sample and hand-sheets treated by VBL after 72 h UV accelerated irradiation, therefore it can be used as an effective yellowing inhibitior for lignin-containing paper products. |
