| Abstract:The effects of different pretreatment methods and test conditions on determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in papermaking wastewater by GC-MS were investigated. It was found that the best extracting effects could be obtained by using DB-5 as the chromatographic column of GC-MS, methylene chloride as the extractant, 30 min extraction time, 0.1 g NaCl as salting-out agent, and 20 min mechanical oscillation. Using the optimized conditions the determination results showed that the 6 kinds of PHAs found in the influent leaved only 2 kinds in the effluent. |
