| Abstract:In order to determine the main source of the pollutants produced during hypochlorite bleaching of wheat straw soda pulp, the contribution of the chemical components dissolved from the pulp to the pollutants load in bleaching effluent when different sodium hypochlorite dosage were used was studied. It was proved that carbohydrates made the greatest contribution to the pollutants load. Furthermore, the correlative equation between the hypochlorite dosage, the bleached pulp yield with CODCr, BOD5 and AOX loads was also established. The pollutant load of bleaching effluent can be estimated by the hypochlorite dosage with the correlative equation. |
