| Abstract:Mica paper is broadly used as insulation material of electric industry, which is formed by electrostatic attraction and Van der Waals force. Influences of cations, SS and pH value of the process water on mica paper making are studied in this paper. The changes of mica paper properties proves the influences of water quality. Methods of improving the quality of water are proposed, which are adjustment of pH value, removing of cations with EDTA and removing of SS with polyacrylamide. Those methods have achieved good results, with upgrading the strength of mica paper. |
