Abstract:This article analyzed and compared the morphology, crystal structure and morphological parameters of the para aramid pulp fibers and the fibrids as well as the properties of the papers made of the pulp fibers and fibrids by scanning electron microscopy, surface area analyzer, fiber morphology analyzer, X-ray diffraction and other modern instruments. It was found that compared with the pulp fibers, fibrid was non-granular and smaller in size, it had the shape like a slice or wrinkled membrane, with large surface area, to 7.35 m2/g, and high surface activity; fibrid crushing a high degree of uniformity, with good length distribution, softness, and high strength and toughness; fibrid crystallinity was 28.55%, with small grain size, it had fine silk crystal structure and it was conducive to the formation and strength of the paper; the mechanical strength and the electrical properties of fibrid paper was higher than PPTA pulp paper. |
