摘要:比较了纸浆纤维形态两种测量方法(非偏振光法与偏振光法)的差异,探讨了它们的测量原理及特点。偏振光法利用纤维的晶体结构使光线的折射指数随偏振光方向而改变,通过一组正交偏光镜来区分纤维及纤维以外的物质(如气泡)等。非偏振光法与传统的显微镜观察法相当,可以观察纤维的真实形态,利用非偏振光源来形成纤维及纤维以外的背景的高对比图像,从而区分纤维及纤维以外的物质,并通过前处理方式去除气泡的影响。
Abstract:The differences between unpolarized and polarized light method for determination of cellulose fibre morphology were compared, the principle and characteristics of the methods were discussed. Certain materials, such as cellulose fibres, have a crystalline structure that results in the refractive index varying with the direction of polarization of the light. For polarized light method, a crossed-polarizers set-up is used to discriminate fibres and other materials like air bubbles, which do not rotate the plane of polarization. For unpolarized light method, a suitable unpolarized light source is used to create the high-contrast image between fibres and the background.
