Abstract:As the issue of global freshwater scarcity continues to grow, the development of efficient seawater desalination technology has become a crucial solution for addressing the problem. Currently, there is ongoing research on using solar energy to achieve thermal conversion for seawater desalination. Biomass-based carbon materials, due to their abundance in raw materials, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness, have become a widely studied subject. In this paper, we introduced various seawater desalination technologies, reviewed the recent research progress of application of biomass-based photothermal conversion materials in seawater desalination both domestically and internationally, and summarized some of the current issues and research progress related to biomass-based photothermal conversion materials. |
