Abstract:In this study, based on curcumin (Cur) grafted carboxylated nanocellulose (CNC), CNC-grafted curcumin (CNC-Cur) sensor and CNC-Cur sodium alginate (CNC-Cur-SA) hydrogel adsorbents for the detection and removal of Pb2+ were prepared, respectively. The unique keto-enol tautomer of curcumin allows curcumin to easily chelate with heavy metal ions to form complexes, and at the same time change the color of curcumin. The results indicate that the CNC-Cur sensor has selectivity for lead ions, with a detection limit of 6.25 mg/L after data processing. At the same time, the static adsorption experiment of CNC Cur SA hydrogel showed that under the optimized conditions, the removal rate of Pb2+ by CNC Cur SA hydrogel exceeded 98.4%, and the adsorption capacity reached 98.3 mg/g.
