Abstract:Three Republican period books printed with ink and with different sizing degree were studied in this article. They were treated by water-soluble deacidification liquor mainly containing nano magnesium hydroxide, and combining vacuum impregnation, vacuum microwave-predrying and vacuum freezing-drying. It was proved that water-soluble deacidification liquor, mainly contained nano magnesium hydroxide, was suitable for deacidification of the ink-printed books of Republican period, and this method was effective in increasing pH values of the books which have been acidified. Drying process of vacuum microwave-preheating combined with vacuum freezing-drying was much safer than only adopting vacuum microwave-drying, and much more effective than only adopting vacuum freezing-drying. |
