Abstract:In this paper, 5 kinds of PET fibrids prepared from different concentration of slurry were observed under microscope and scanning electron microscope, their specific surface area were tested, and their papermaking performance was also studied. The results showed that the morphology of PET fibrids was the streamers, however, as the concentration increasing of PET slurry, several fibrids were gathered together, and formed the fiber bundle. The specific surface area of PET fibrid decreased as the increasing of slurry’s concentration, tensile index, tear index and burst index of the PET papers were enhanced as the increasing of slurry’s concentration.
