| Abstract:Alkali liquor uniform penetration into the cotton linter and the uniformity of the temperature distribution are key factors affecting the quality of the cotton pulp cooking in a global digester. Traditional methods of cooking and heating caused poor liquid penetration effect, uneven impregnation and temperature higher at the upper part than the lower part in the digester due to the fat and wax content in cotton litter and the global digester strcture, it was difficult to produce homogeneous pulp. The paper suggested the measures including using large liquor ration for penetration but small liquor ration for cooking; carrying out penetration in a pre-penetration tank; directionally heating by using a center steam pipe and applying new scraper and twin screw extrusion impregnation technology could effectively improve the cooking quality and efficiency. |
