Abstract:The control system of cross-directional basis weight is a complicated,non-square and multi-variate system. It’s difficult to be controlled satisfyingly owing to the property of high-dimension, strong-coupling and long-lag. The multivariable inner-model controller was designed to solve the above problem by setting the mathematical model of this process and compensating with inverse matrix. The simulation indicated that the algorithm could reduce the overshoot, settling-time of the system response and the system noise also could be restrained.
