| Abstract:The basis weights of the web on different dryers were measured online to obtain the drying curve in the drying section of a high-strength corrugating medium machine, and a series of models were adopted to simulate the process of paper drying. The result showed that the Model 5 was the best model to describe the drying process. In addition, the Model 5 was used for drying kinetics analysis in the drying section of the paper machine, a simulated drying curve and drying rate were obtained, combining with the sheet temperature measured we could find: the paper drying process, “sheet-heating phase”(1#~2# cylinder); “constant rate drying phase”(3#~22#cylinder) and “reducing drying rate phase”(23#~48#cylinder). The critical moisture content was 0.29 g water/g(d.s.). The highest drying rate was 29.17 kg water(m2·h) at the cylinder 8#. |
