Abstract:Development of highly filled paper has became one of the research hotspots in paper industry because of the pressures from production cost and environmental protection. Based on the understanding of the concept of highly filled paper, the status and challenges for developing highly filled paper were illustrated. Importantly, the development of highly filled paper with improved paper properties, and some special functions should be encouraged in the future.
