Abstract:In this paper，laponite nanoparticles together with nano-alumina were used to stabilize the oil in water emulsion of ASA. By detecting the influences of various emulsification parameters on the stability of ASA emulsion and its sizing performance，the emulsification process was optimized.The results indicated that，when the volume ratio of oil to water fixed at 1∶2.4 and the dosage of laponite was 2% based on ASA, the stability of ASA emulsion would be improved by the adding nano-alumina. Furthermore, the sizing degree of the emulsion achieved 40 s, when the dosage of nano-alumina was 0.08% based on ASA while the volume ratio of oil to water fixed at 1∶3.5.
