Abstract:Cellulose, the most abundant natural polymer, is a kind of renewable and inexhaustible source in the world. Designing the chemical structure of cellulose to creat special functional material is an important way to expand the application area of cellulose. In this paper, the research advance and application of cellulose and cellulose derivatives graft copolymerization technology were reviewed. Cellulose graft copolymerization technology mainly includes the traditional graft copolymerization and new type of active/controlled radical graft copolymerization technology. This paper emphasizes on the active/controlled radical graft copolymerization technology such as NMP、 ATRP and RAFT technology, including their mechanism, corresponding advantages and application in cellulose and cellulose derivatives controlled graft copolymerization.
