| Abstract:Nanocellulose has become the frontier and hotspot of cellulose science research for its characteristics of abundance, renewability, biodegradability and excellent mechanical properties. The physical method for preparation of microfibrillated cellulose,the chemical method and biological method for preparation of nanocrystalline cellulose, and the potential application of nanocellulose in the pulp and paper field were reviewed. Moreover, the key points of nanocellulose research in the future were summarized. |
