Abstract:The preparation process of high water-absorbent resin with bagasse fiber under microwave radiation was introduced. The effects of microwave radiation time and water content of the system, neutralization degree of AA, dosages of initiator and cross-linking agents on the resin′s absorbency rate were investigated. The max water absorption ratio was 553 g/g in the optimal conditions. The structure of the product was characterized by FT-IR and XRD. The results proved the existing of graft copolymerization between bagasse fiber and the monomers.
