Abstract:With traditional fiber papermaking technologies now well established, fiber-based functional composite materials have increasingly been developed and applied in advanced fields such as detection, battery energy storage, smart sensing, and optoelectronic conversion. This paper reviews fiber-based composite materials used in applications such as detection, battery separators, sensors, electromagnetic shielding, and radiative cooling, focusing on fiber modification techniques for functional composites. The paper concludes by suggesting several potential directions for the further development of fiber-based functional composite materials.
