Abstract:A polyacrylonitrile (PAN) filter paperboard was prepared by blending regenerated lyocell fibers with PAN fibers, adding the binder polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and a filtering aid SiO2, using a wet-forming method. The PAN filter paperboard was enhanced through the synergistic effect of fine fiber interweaving and the binder. The tensile strength, porosity, pore size, and water flux of the filter paperboard at different levels of fiber regeneration were compared and analyzed. The results indicated that when the pulp beating reached 40,000 revolutions, the filter paperboard exhibited optimal overall performance. At this point, the tensile strength was the highest at 5.97 N.m.g-1, with a porosity of 87.6931% and a water flux of 599 L.m2.min-1, demonstrating good performance. This provides a reference for the development of PAN filter paperboard for water filtration. |
