Abstract:This paper introduces the optimization and improvement methods applied to the black liquor evaporation system in a domestic sulfate pulp mill, which have significantly enhanced the recovery and utilization rate of intermediate condensate. After the improvements, the reuse rate of intermediate condensate in the black liquor evaporation system has reached 100%, reducing the water consumption per ton of pulp produced to 7.9 m3/ADT and saving costs by an impressive RMB 77.4699 million per year. This provides an effective practical case for optimizing and improving the reuse of intermediate condensate in related black liquor evaporation systems in China.
