Abstract:In the context of the new engineering education and the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals and the urgent needs of high-quality transformation and upgrading of the chemical and light industry, with the principle of "integrating course ideological education, strengthening moral cultivation, and following student needs," the Principles of Chemical Engineering course was reformed. Combining with highlights of the sustainable usage of biomass resources, the course using "multi-dimensional synergy" established a new approach of engineering ability training to cultivate high-quality chemical talents who can adapt to the requirements of the new era. This paper introduces the reform measures and achievements of chemical engineering principles course at Yantai University which exploration of new engineering education modes for cultivating high-quality talents. It is hoped that through more open teaching concepts, interactive teaching methods, and comprehensive evaluation systems, students" innovative ability and overall quality can be comprehensively improved.
