Abstract:Different emulsifiers were used to emulsify polypropylene carbonate (PPC) resin. And the emulsification process was optimized based on emulsion properties, heat sealing properties and barrier properties. The results of emulsification rate and particle size showed that the optimum emulsifiers were cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide and Tween80, and the quality ratio was 3:1. The dosage of emulsifier is 15%. The oil-water volume ratio is 3:4. PPC resin should be prepared into 25% dichloromethane solution as oil phase. Soap liquid temperature should be about 30 ℃. The shear rate should be higher than 10000rpm, and the shear time should be 4-6 minutes. 2% PVA should be added to the emulsion as colloid-protect reagent. The thermal sealing properties and barrier properties of PPC resin are reduced after emulsification, but it can meet the application of high thermal sealing pressure.
