Abstract:The triglycerides, polyacrylate, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl acetate and styrene butadiene latex were used as the model compounds of stickies and added to the bleached kraft softwood pulp which had been extracted with dichloromethane in order to study the deposition properties of the stickies. The deposition properties of the stickies’ model compounds and it’s effect on dewatering of the pulp and the property of the filtrate were analyzed. Results showed that, pulp adding polyacrylate produced more macro stickies and had poorer dewatering properties than the samples adding other model compounds. For the pulp only adding polyacrylate, the area of macro stickies increased from 0 to 3996 mm2/m2 , the number of stickies increased from 0 to 9117 m2, and water filtrating time prolonged from 3.9 s to 10.8 s. The cationic demand(CD), particle size and turbidity of pulp filtrate increased after adding model compounds, and triglycerides had the highest impact on the filtrate. Cationic demand of filtrate of the pulp adding triglycerides increased from 0.060 mmol/L to 0.229 mmol/L, the particle size increased from 284.7 nm to 378.6 nm, and the turbidity of filtrate increased from 3.45 NTU to 181 NTU. |
