This study analyzed the effect of cellulose nanofibril（CNF）/pullulanase（Pul）system on the performance of starch film. The results showed that the CNF/Pul treated starch exhibited higher short-range orderliness and more double helix structure，and there were additional B-type typical peaks existing in the treated starch. The obtained starch film with CNF/Pul treatment had good surface uniformity and better strength property. The tensile strength of starch film was increased from 2.44 MPa（Nature-StF） to 7.32 MPa（CNF/Pul-StF）， with a 200% increase. The results of the light/water vapor transmittance test indicate that the starch film treated with the CNF/Pul system had better optical transmittance and a certain enhancement effect on the water vapor barrier performance. The optical transmittance of starch film treated with CNF/Pul system increased from 49.3%~51.2% （Nature-StF） to 56.1%~60.1% （CNF/Pul-StF）， and water vapor transmission index， decreased from 9.26×10-12 g·cm/(Pa·s·cm2) （Nature-StF） to 6.33×10-12 g·cm/(Pa·s·cm2) （CNF/Pul-StF）.

http://zgzz.ijournals.cn/zgzzen/ch/reader/view_abstract.aspx?file_no=202409002&flag=1

Cellulose nanocrystals （CNC） is a type of nanoscale cellulose extracted from natural fibers， and can form thin film materials with chiral nematic structures and bright colors through the method of evaporation induced self-assembly （EISA）， which can provide rich and intuitive visual information， making it the preferred for the new generation of photonic liquid crystal materials. However， CNC-based photonic materials currently suffer from issues such as poor mechanical properties and dynamic optical response， making it difficult to achieve their functional expansion. Therefore， the additives are usually added to improve the flexibility and adaptability of CNC. Hence， this review aimed to systematically elaborate on the current preparation processes and influencing factors of photonic crystal thin films by combining CNC’s characteristics and summarized different controllable preparation schemes， including mechanical strength， color responsiveness， etc. Meanwhile， it also emphasized the potential applications and development trends of CNC-based photonic materials in different fields.
