In this study， the effects of lime particle size on the digestion and causticization reactions of green liquid in alkali recovery processes were investigated， and industrial practice in the actual production process was explored. The results showed that lime with smaller particles could promote the digestion and causticization reactions of green liquid. As the particle size of lime decreased， the temperature ampufication during the green liquid digestion process increased from 15.0 to 19.0 ℃， the heating time decreased from 240 to 190 s， and the effective calcium oxide content of the digestion slag decreased from 17.8% to 7.2%. The active alkali content of the white liquid after causticization increased from 128.0 to 131.5 g/L， and the causticity degree increased from 76.5% to 78.8%. However， the particle size of white sludge produced after causticization with smaller lime particle size was also small， which was not conducive to the clarification of white liquid， so the lime particle size should be reasonably controlled. In actual production practice， replacing bulk lime with powdered lime simplified the lime system， the active alkali content and causticity of the white liquid were increased by 2.0 g/L and 2.5 percentage points， respectively， and the daily operating cost of the lime system was reduced by 4 980 RMB.

When the mass ratio of hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide was 1∶1， the whiteness of pulp was the highest. To improve the strength index of chemi-mechanical pulp， the dosage of sodium hydroxide should be appropriately increased. To improve the bulk and opacity， the dosage of sodium hydroxide should be reduced， in order to prevent the chemi-mechanical pulp from yellowing after a period of time in the pulp storage tower， the residual hydrogen peroxide in the chemi-mechanical pulp should be more than 10% total usage of the hydrogen peroxide in the bleaching section.
In this paper， a new engineering example for the treatment of chromium-containing waste water in pulp and paper mill as the research object， for the intermittent hexavalent chromium（Cr6+） comprehensive treatment system that developed by the comprehensive use of self-produced chemicals and existing equipment， the reasons for the generation of Cr6+ wastewater in the chlorine dioxide workshop and the properties of the wastewater were analysized. Based on the effects of different pH value of reaction pool， reaction temperature， reaction time， and sulfur dosage on the reduction effect of Cr6+ in wastewater， the optimum reaction conditions of the sulfur dioxide reduction process for removing Cr6+ were determined， and the reduction effect of Cr6+ was demonstrated in combination with the actual production data. The results showed that the optimum conditions for the effective removal of Cr6+ from high concentration chromium-containing wastewater were that pH value of 2~4， reaction temperature of 40~60 ℃， sulfur dosage of 1.4~1.6 times of the theoretical dosage required for the reaction， and reaction time of 40 min. The content of Cr6+ in the effluent of wastewater from the three shutdowns of chlorine dioxide workshop was lower than 0.005 mg/L， and the content of total chromium was lower than 0.06 mg/L， which were in line with the requirements in the GB 8978—1996， confirming the effectiveness of the treatment of the intermittent Cr6+ comprehensive treatment system.

In this study， for the problem of anti-condensation， the heat transfer coefficient of the building envelope of the paper mill was analyzed， and the limit value of the heat transfer coefficient of the building envelope in the wet part of the paper mill in different climatic regions was given under the conditions of indoor temperature of 20 ℃ and indoor relative humidity of ≤75% in winter， in accordance with GB 50176—2016. The results showed that the selection of thermal insulation windows with smaller heat transfer coefficient could play a role in delaying the time of condensation on the external windows. Based on the conditions of condensation in the wet part of the paper mill in different climatic regions， the effectiveness of building envelope heat preservation in preventing condensation in the paper mill was analyzed.
White faced kraft cardboard， which is widely used in high-end carton packaging for the food and beverage industry， would severely impact customers’ usage experience if it had an odor issue. Through investigation， this study found that factors such as the pulp temperature in the papermaking system， white water circulation， and the addition of papermaking auxiliaries could all contribute to the production of odors in white faced kraft cardboard. To address the odor problem in white faced kraft cardboard products， one approach was to reduce the temperature in the pulp and papermaking system， enhance the circulatory fluidity of the water and pulp systems in the production process， and disrupt the environment conducive to microbial growth. Another approach was to decrease the addition of high-nitrogen auxiliaries， adjust the raw material structure and optimize the pulping process achieving the physical properties of the base paper， thereby effectively controlling the occurrence of odors.
